Mahamoud Adam Béchir (born 1965) is the Republic of Chad's ambassador to the United States.[1] Bechir was appointed to the position of ambassador by President Idriss Deby in November 2004 when his predecessor, Ahmat Hassaballah Soubiane, expressed opposition to the presidency.[1][2] Biography Born in Biltine in 1965, Béchir was educated internationally.[2] After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy at the University of Khartoum, he continued his education at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California and its Center for Civil-Military Relations, graduating in 1997 with a Masters Degree.
